Welcome to Clark County Youth Football We have gathered together a list of frequently asked questions for your convenience. FAQ'sWhat is CCYF? C.C.Y.F. is Clark County’s leading and most established youth football program serving the community’s youth for the past 31 years. C.C.Y.F is a local nonprofit league open to all boys and girls who will be entering 2nd thru 8th grade for the fall 2013-2014 school year. How are teams formed?Teams are formed based on the grade your child will enter in the fall, and the school and district where they are enrolled. No hand chosen cherry picked teams.
How do we register?Online registration is available through June 1 with at a fee of $210.00 per child. NOTE: After June 1 the registration fee will be $235.00 per child. In person registration dates are posted on the home page . You may attend any of these registrations. You do not have to attend the one listed for your area. Are there multi-player discounts?Yes. Multi-player discounts are available for children living in the same home. The fees are $210.00 for the first player, $190.00 second player, with a $560.00 family maximum. NOT AVAILABLE ONLINE.
Can I get a multi-player discount online?No. You will need to attend an in-person registration to receive a multi-player discount. Are scholarships available?Scholarships may be available to families that qualify. To apply you must attend a registration in person and bring proof of household income. NOT AVAILABLE ONLINE. When do we get our gear and what gear will be issued?You will be assigned a gear distribution day. That information will be on the web site, and in the parent letter. Each player will be issued the following gear: helmet, shoulder pads, pants with thigh, knee, hip and tail pads and mouth guard You must clean and return this gear to your coach at the end of the season. Do I need a new physical each year?Yes. Your child must have a physical dated in 2013. Due to rapid child growth in this age group, league insurance requires physicals dated in the year that the child participates. What about concussions?Per Washington State Law (RCW 28A.600.190), commonly referred to as the Lystedt Law, each year every player and parent is required to read and sign the “Concussion Awareness Information Sheet”. You can download it here. When are practices?Practices may begin no sooner than the 2nd week in August. Practices are held Monday-Friday until the first game. Practice will not begin before 5pm for will last no longer than 2 hours. Teams may then practice 3 nights per week as assigned by the practice site. Practices are held at schools in your local area as assigned by the school districts. When are games?There are 8 regular season games. Games are on Saturdays and can be scheduled from 9:00am-7:00pm. If your player’s team is one of the top 4 in their division they may go to a playoff weekend. If they win there, they may play in the championship weekend. Do you offer refunds?Yes, as long as it is before the first practice. ALL REFUNDS are minus a $25.00 processing fee. Prior to first practice, refunds are 100% minus the $25.00 fee. After the first practice there are NO REFUNDS. Refund requests will be honored as of the date they are received. Refund requests must be made to: This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
